Berkowitz Furniture has been in operation since 1949, with humble beginnings as a furniture factory, and has since grown to become retailers of fine affordable, stylish luxury home furnishings, from contemporary to modern to classic furniture and accessories, with a chain of furniture stores in Dandenong, Geelong, Essendon, Moorabbin, Nunawading and Preston.

Our Beginnings...

Early last century, a young Polish furniture craftsman named Sam Berkowitz migrated from London to Melbourne.

There he established a furniture factory in Prahran, which soon led to the opening in 1949 of the famous Berkowitz Fine Furniture Store in Collins Street, Melbourne.

Since then, the family has opened several retail furniture stores around Melbourne, carrying on the tradition of excellence in service, quality and value established by their predecessor.
